Conclusion

We go to Douglas Creek 3 times to make sure it’s healthy. We do the ph test and do test the PH was 7.5, 7.0, 8.0 that means fish and other animals can live in it. The DO was 9 drops that means animals can live in it . the water temperature was 50 at all the spots we took it that means animals can live in this temperature.  We found lots of picky Macroinvertibrates in the water which helps us know the water is healthy. Overrall we had a good time at Douglas Creek and know that the water is excellent for animals and other critters.

Macroinvertibrate Conclusion

The water was healthy because there were mayflies and Odanatas. Mayfly and Odanatas tell us if the water is healthy because they are very picky insects.  There were no worms or leeches in site or in the net. The water temperature was great it was 50% exactly on all three points of our stream reach. There was a beaver dam with fish swimming down the stream. They looked like baby salmon. And Chase fell in to the stream in the end.

This is a rabbit den. We had sited a Jackrabbit in it.It was in the middle of our stream reach.
It was on the ground surrounded by thorn bushes. It hurt to get a picture of it!

A large wasp hive was in a deciduous tree at the beginning of our stream reach. It was on the right bank. No wasps were sited going in and out of the hive. The hive was about as a big as basketball.
