This is how the plants and animals of the Douglas Creek water shed work together. In site 3 we studied the macroinvertabrates, water quailty, insects, vegetation, animals, and streambank. First, we will tell you about the water quality at our site. Site 3's water is very clean water. There were 13 non-tolerant macroinvertebrates which means they are very picky about the water they live in clean water. The pH and dissolved oxygen showed that the water was clean and had 11.5 oxygen.
also, we will discuss the plants at our site. On our first trip to Douglas Creek, the plants were super short. The next time they were medium and the last time they were taller than are. We had to have our site leader hold the witness post because the grass was too tall during our photo point. There was another plant that was 15 inches tall that had seed heads that flew all over.
